Men's Basketball player Travis Clark was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after averaging 16.5 points and 12 rebounds in two games over the weekend. He also scored the 1,000th point of his career.
Clark, a junior post player, began the weekend with an 11-point, 10-rebound performance in the team's 49-45 loss to visiting Lawrence University on Friday. He also had three assists, a steal, and two blocked shots in the game.
On Saturday the Foresters hosted and defeated Carroll University 78-66. Clark tied for game-high honors with 22 points and led all players in the contest and matched his career-high with 14 rebounds. He shot 10-for-13 in the from the field in the game, raising his field goal percentage on the season to .630. He also added two assists and two more blocks. His first of two made free throws with 30.8 seconds to play was the 1,000th point of his career.
Clark's exploits also earned him Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Clark also earned the award twice earlier this season and once last year.
