Football player Casey Flynn was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after recording the first two interceptions of his career on Saturday.
Flynn, a junior defensive lineman, was in the right place at the right time as both interceptions came on deflected passes. The first occurred at the Forester 12-yardline and he returned it to the 32. The second was near midfield and Flynn added eight more return yards to his stat line for the day.
Flynn also had four tackles, including one tackle for loss, in the contest.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Flynn was also named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week on Wednesday.
