Lake Forest College women's hockey player Amy Budde was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for her performance in a pair of victories at Marian University last weekend.
Budde, a sophomore forward, scored to break a 1-1 tie with less than five minutes remaining in Saturday's 3-1 triumph. She also clinched the victory by adding an empty net goal with 1:54 on the clock.
Lake Forest prevailed 5-0 over the Sabres on Sunday and Budde was on of five Foresters to score in the contest. She also assisted on a pair of goals.
Budde is tied for ninth in the nation with 34 points, 11th with 17 goals, and 16th with 17 assists on the season. She is also among the national leader with five power play goals and four game-winning scores.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
