Lake Forest College women's hockey player Jacqueline Audet was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for her performance in the team's 2-0 victory at St. Norbert College on Saturday.
Audet, a junior goaltender, made 39 saves in the contest, including 18 in the second period alone, to post her second consecutive shutout. It was the highest single-game save total in a shutout performance in program history. Lake Forest scored the only goal she needed in the opening period and added an insurance tally in the second.
At 8-1-1 on the season, Audet ranks seventh in the nation in winning percentage. With a current shutout streak of 135 minutes, she has lowered her goals against average to 1.98 and raised her save percentage on the season to .913.
Lake Forest is now 18-2-1 on the year and climbed into fifth place in this week's USCHO.com Poll.
