Lake Forest College women's hockey player Jacque Rogers was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after posting a pair of shutouts at Saint Mary's University last weekend.
Rogers, a freshman, recorded her first career shutout in the Foresters' 4-0 triumph Friday night. She made seven saves in each of the first two periods and 19 in the game.
Lake Forest blanked the Cardinals again less than 24 hours later, this time 5-0. Rogers turned away all six of the home team's shots on goal in each period to finish the weekend a perfect 37-for-37.
Rogers is now 6-1-0 with a 1.27 goals against average and .916 save percentage on the season.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rogers was also named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
