Sophomore forward Olivia Spellmire and senior forward Michelle Greenway became the first Forester teammates in more than 10 years to each record five points in a game during the Lake Forest College women's hockey team's 11-0 victory at Finlandia University on Saturday.

Spellmire assisted on five of the Foresters' scores, finishing just one helper shy of the program's single-game record. Greeneway tied the school record with four goals and added an assist. She is one of just four players in team history to score four times in a game and the only one to accomplish the feat twice. Laura Wilson and Jen Clouthier were the last Lake Forest players with five points in the same same contest. They did it against Chatham University in Carisa Zaban Wahlig's first game as the team's head coach on October 28, 2005. Spellmire and Greeneway continue to share the team lead in points with 21 and they are fourth in the nation in points per game. Greeneway's 16 goals are tops in the country and Spellmire is tied for the national lead with 14 assists.

Lake Forest's scoring output on Saturday was the second-most prolific in team history, trailing only the 14-goal outburst against Chatham in 2005.

The first of five first-period goals was scored by sophomore forward Leah Ebdon's third of the season just 1:59 into the contest. She was assisted by Spellmire and fellow sophomore forward Amanda Brunges. Just seven seconds passed before an unassisted goal by Greeneway made the score 2-0. Senior defenseman Alex Stensland scored for the sixth time this season at 6:23 with Ebdon and Spellmire each picking up an assist. Greeneway netted a power play goal at 11:39 and earned her seventh career hat trick at 18:46. Spellmire and Brunges assisted on Greeneway's power play goal and her third of the period was unassisted.

Leading 5-0 after 20 minutes, the Foresters added to their lead with sophomore defenseman Caroline Campbell's second career goal at the 6:34 mark of the second period. Greeneway and Spellmire assisted on the score. Junior forward Allie Girard lit the lamp for the second time this year at 15:31 with assists credited to senior forwards Melissa Paluch and Natalie Pattison. Paluch scored the visitors' eighth goal of the contest at 19:43. Her ninth of the season was set up by Spellmire and Pattison.

Freshman defenseman Samantha Wais recorded her first career point on a goal at7:52 in the third period. Campbell and freshman forward Amy Budde assisted on the play. Girard and sophomore defenseman Melissa Bodine assisted on the sixth goal of the year for Brunges at 12:18 and, 43 seconds later, Greeneway closed out the scoring with her second power play goal of the afternoon. She was assisted by Brunges and sophomore defenseman Kayla Griffith.

While it only took 11 saves, senior goaltender Allie Carter recorded her team record-tying fourth shutout of the season and improved to 7-0-0 with a 0.57 goals against average and .966 save percentage on the year.

It was the ninth consecutive victory for Lake Forest and the team is now 10-0-1 overall and a perfect 8-0-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play this season. Finlandia fell to 0-9-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the conference.

The Foresters will look to match the 2012-13 team's program record 12-game unbeaten streak in their next game at Middlebury College on Tuesday, January 5. The contest will begin at 7:00 p.m. (EST).
