After a weekend off, the Lake Forest College track team was back in action on Saturday at Wheaton College's Don Church Twilight Meet.
Highlighting the Foresters' performance at the meet was a first-place finish by junior Madeline Morland in the women's 5000m run. Her program record time of 18:17.54 was more than 20 seconds faster the the runner-up's clocking and more than 50 seconds better than any Forester in team history.
Graduate student Audrey Paglia also scored for Lake Forest by placing fourth in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:28.53.
The best placing for the Forester men came in the 800, where freshman Bart Brophy was 22nd in 2:06.73 and senior Mathieu Norcross 23rd with a time of 2:07.11.
Lake Forest will compete in the Elmhurst Invitational next Friday at 2:00 p.m.
