The Lake Forest College track team traveled just north of the state line on Friday to compete in Carthage College's Tadd Metzger Invitational.

Freshman Delfina Jorgensen added a couple of points to the women's team's tally with a seventh-place finish in the mile. She completed the race in 5:51.08 to place in the top third in the 21-runner event.
The Lake Forest men had a pair of runners finish in the top half of the field in the 800m run. Senior Mathieu Norcross was fifth out of 14 competitors with a time of 2:10.46 while freshman Bart Brophy finished seventh in 2:11.33.
The Foresters will be in action again next Saturday at Ripon College's Dick Hendricks Invite.
