Select members of the Lake Forest College track team traveled to Carthage College on Friday for the Firebird Finale.
The top performance by a Forester was a victory in the women's 800m run by graduate student Audrey Paglia. She crossed the finish line more than a second before the runner-up and her time of 2:22.99 was a career-best indoor mark by nearly two seconds.
Lake Forest freshman Delfina Jorgensen was 10th in the women's 800 with a time of 2:44.92 and senior Mathieu Norcross finished fifth in the men's race in 2:08.85.
Senior Jessica Heard finished third in the women's 400m with a time of 1:26.97 and 12th in the 200m in 38.86 seconds. Sophomore Alec Macartney was 12th in the men's mile in 4:58.64.
Lake Forest's first outdoor meet of the season will be the Carroll Alumni Open on Saturday, March 26.
