The Lake Forest College track team is at Knox College this weekend for the two-day Midwest Conference Indoor Championship Meet.
Highlighting Friday's performance for the Foresters was a fourth-place finish in the women's mile by junior Madeline Morland. Her time of 5:23.02 ranks her second in team history in the event. Freshman Delfina Jorgensen was 14th in 5:57.31 and sophomore Alec Macartney was 12th in the men's race with a time of 4:58.50.
A pair of relays scored points for the Lake Forest men. Freshmen Andrew Douthat and Christian Johnson ran the 200s, senior Mathieu the 400 and freshman Bart Brophy the 800 as the Foresters finished seventh in the spring medley relay with a time of 3:55.35. Douthat and Johnson were then joined by classmates Albin Arulanandu and Darion Miller in the 4x200, which placed eighth in 1:45.26.
Sophomore Jaylen Johnson added a 10th-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 37'2.25".
The meet will resume Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
