The Forester track team traveled north of the state line on Saturday to participate in the Dick Hendricks Invite at Ripon College.
The best event of the day for Lake Forest was the women's 800m run, where graduate student Audrey Paglia won the women's race for the third time in as many meets this season and freshman Delfina Jorgensen placed sixth in the 18-runner field. Paglia crossed the finish line in 2:27.62, more than five-and-a-half seconds ahead of the runner-up, while Jorgensen completed her four laps in 2:42.38.
The Forester women also scored points in the mile, where junior Madeline Morland placed third in her season debut with a time of 5:26.86.
Senior Mathieu Norcross turned in the top performance by the Lake Forest men, finishing sixth in the 400m dash in 55.08 seconds.
Freshman Bart Brophy was in the middle of the pack in the 800, placing 15th out of 29 competitors with a time of 2:08.73.
The next meet on the Foresters' schedule is the Margaret Bradley Invite at the University of Chicago next Saturday.
