The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 7-2 at Milwaukee School of Engineering Friday night. Sophomore Tyler Hauer scored his first goal of the season for the Foresters.
Hauer's goal came at the 11:20 mark of the third period and was the final score of the contest. Senior Zach Kozak and sophomore Tom Bark assisted on the goal.
Sophomore Phil Bushbacher scored the other Lake Forest goal with the visitors on the power play at 15:26 in the second period. Bark and junior David Sharpe assisted on Bushbacher's second score of the season, which trimmed the deficit to 6-1.
M.S.O.E. scored three times in the opening period, including once on the plwer play. The home team added another power play score, a shorthanded goal, and an even-strength tally in the second before Bushbacher put the Foresters on the scoreboard. The Raiders lit the lamp for the seventh and final time in the game with 46 seconds to play in the second period.
Lake Forest fell to 2-10-0 overall and 2-5-0 in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association play while the Raiders raised their overall record to 10-2-0 and remained perfect in MCHA play after seven league contests. M.S.O.E. entered the week ranked 11th in the nation.
The same two teams will face off tomorrow night in Lake Forest at 7:30.
