Lake Forest College women's hockey player Logan Taylor was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after assisting on half of the Foresters' goals in a 6-3 victory over visiting Adrian College on Saturday.
Taylor, a sophomore forward, recorded her first assist of the game on a game-tying goal by classmate Michelle Greeneway at the eight-minute mark of the opening period. She also set up Greenway on a power play goal with 2:08 remaining in the period that gave the home team a 3-2 lead. Her third assist of the contest was on another power play goal, the official game-winner, by junior forward Marissa Weber at 5:05 in the second period.
Taylor now leads the Foresters with 18 assists on the year and her 26 points are tied for third on the squad. Her season assist total already ranks sixth in program history.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of sports information and public relations. Taylor is the third Lake Forest player in as many weeks and the fifth this season to earn the award.
