Lake Forest College women's hockey player Holly Lesperance was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in a sweep of visiting Marian University last weekend.
Lesperance, a sophomore forward, recorded her first career multi-point performance in Friday's 9-0 victory. She netted a goal in each of the first two periods.
The Foresters defeated the Sabres 5-1 on Saturday and Lesperance surpassed her new career-high for points in a game with three. She assisted on a pair of second period goals and scored another, her third tally of the weekend.
The five-point weekend gives Lesperance nine points on four goals and five assists this season.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of sports information and public relations.
