Lake Forest College women's hockey player Marissa Weber was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in the team's sweep of Finlandia University on the road last weekend.
Weber, a junior forward, recorded her first career hat trick in the Foresters' 10-2 triumph on Friday. She scored three of the visitors' first six goals in the contest, including the only score of the opening period and the official game-winner in the second.
Lake Forest blanked the Lions 7-0 on Saturday and Weber netted another goal in the second period.
Weber is now tied for third on the team with six goals this season. She has 18 goals and 25 points in her career.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's director of sports information and director of public relations.
