The Forester men's soccer team tied host Lawrence University 1-1 on Saturday. Freshman Elyas Ingram's second goal of the season knotted the game at one at the 68:35 mark.
Ingram's goal was assisted by sophomore Evan Vogel.
Lawrence had scored the only goal of the first half less than two minutes into the contest but was held scoreless by the Forester defense the rest of the way. Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Ian Taylor finished the game with five saves.
Lake Forest out-shot the Vikings by one in the first and second halves, as well as in the first 10-minute overtime period. The Foresters attempted three shots to Lawrence's one in the second overtime. The visitors also had six corner kick opportunities to the Vikings' three.
The Foresters are now 2-6-1 overall this season but 1-0-1 in Midwest Conference play. Lawrence is 0-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the leauge.
Lake Forest will play a pair of conference games next weekend. Saturday's opponent is Grinnell College and the Foresters will host Cornell College on Sunday. Both games will begin at 11:00 a.m.
