The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District® Teams for women's soccer on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Michelle Greeneway made the list. She will now appear on the Capital One Academic All-America® ballot.
Greeneway, a junior finance major, has a grade point average of 3.46 after four semesters at the College. She earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors following each of her first two years.
Greeneway is currently second in the nation with nine game-winning goals and is also ranked among the top 10 in the country with 23 goals and 54 points. She set program records a season ago with 25 scores and 55 points and is already the program's all-time leader with 64 goals and 149 points in her career.
The Foresters enter this Saturday's regular season finale against Knox College ranked 16th in the nation by D3soccer.com and 18th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. At 17-0-0, Lake Forest is one of just two teams in the country with a perfect record and the team has already clinched the MWC championship with a league mark of 9-0-0. Greeneway has scored at least one goal in all but three contests and has a pair of hat tricks on the year.
All Capital One Academic All-District® selections are eligible for selection to the Capital One Academic All-America® Teams, which will be announced on November 21.
