Lake Forest College women's soccer player Michelle Greeneway was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after accounting for all of her team's goals in a 3-0 victory at St. Norbert College on Saturday.
Greeneway, a junior forward, headed in the game's first goal off a corner kick 77 seconds into the second half. She scored again at the 76:52 mark and headed in another corner kick with 38 seconds remaining in the contest.
It was Greeneway's second hat trick of the season and the eighth in her career. She now has 20 goals and 46 points this year and her 141 career points are tied for second in team history, just one shy of the program record set by Melissa Stevenson in 2005.
Greeneway leads the nation with eight game-winning goals and ranks among the top eight in the country in goals and points per game.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Greeneway also earned the honor last week and on September 8 of this season, as well as once as a freshman.
