Lake Forest College women's soccer player Michelle Greeneway was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Foresters to three victories last week.
Greeneway, a junior forward, recorded her seventh career hat trick in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over visiting Carthage College. She headed in the game's first and fourth goals and kicked in the game-winner with 15 minutes remaining on the clock. Her first goal of the game made her just the third player in program history to surpass 100 career points.
Lake Forest traveled to Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, over the weekend for the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Soccer Showcase. The Foresters defeated Coe College 3-1 on Friday and Greeneway assisted on the game's first goal. She then scored the first goal in a 2-0 triumph over Macalester on Sunday. It was her third official game-winning goal and program record 13th of her career.
Greeneway leads the 4-0-0 Forester with six goals and 13 points this season.
Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Greeneway also earned the award once as a freshman.
