Lake Forest's Jenna Doctor was voted Midwest Women Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after scoring five times in Saturday's 14-7 triumph at Cornell College.
Doctor score a season-high five goals and added three ground balls and caused turnover in the game. The Rams pulled ahead twice in the first quarter and she answered each of the home team's goals with one of her own. The Foresters led 6-5 in the second before rattling off five straight scores, including three by Doctor, to take an 11-6 advantage into halftime.
With 26 goals and nine assists this season, Doctor ranks third in the MWLC in points. Saturday's hat trick was her fifth of the year.
MWLC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Doctor is the third Forester to earn the award on offense this season.
