Lake Forest College's Krissy Kuwahara was named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in Friday's 14-10 triumph at the University of Northwestern.
Kuwahara scored four goals for the second time in a 10-day span. Her first occurred just six minutes into the contest and she converted on a pair of free position shots in the third quarter and one more in the fourth. The freshman midfielder also picked up three ground balls and led the Foresters with five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Friday's scoring output raised Kuwahara's goal total on the year to 17, which ranks second on the team. She leads the Foresters with 25 ground balls, 27 draw controls, and 13 caused turnovers in nine games this season.
MWLC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Kuwahara also earned the weekly award for her defensive efforts on March 7.
