The Forester women's soccer team won 3-0 at Beloit College on Wednesday. It was the third shutout of the season and the 13th in the career of Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger.
Schleibinger needed just three second-half saves to blank the Buccaneers. She lowered her goals against average on the season to 1.32 and raised her save percentage to .804.
Forester freshman Holly Lesperance took over the team lead in goals with her seventh of the season just four-and-a-half minutes into the contest. She was assisted by junior Anya Moran.
Freshman Michelle Greeneway matched Lesperance with her seventh goal of the year at 23:06 and then netted her eighth just 74 seconds later. Senior Lisa Sorensen set up Greeneway's first goal and her 22 career assists rank seventh in team history. The Foresters' final score was unassisted.
Lake Forest had a 12-2 advantage in shots in the first half and a 13-5 edge in the final 45 minutes.
The Foresters are now 6-4-0 overall and their Midwest Conference record remains perfect after four league contests. The Buccaneers fell to 4-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in MWC play.
