The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 in overtime by University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday. The teams were competing in the "Battle on the Border," hosted by Carthage College. Lake Forest fell 1-0 in both of its games at the event.
The only goal of the game was scored exactly four minutes into overtime.
Forester senior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger had four saves in the contest, including three in the second half.
Lake Forest was outshot 20-7 and only had one corner kick opportunity after trying 13 times from the corner the night before.
The Foresters fall to 2-3-0 overall this season while Oshkosh, the 22nd-ranked team in the nation in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, raises its record to 3-0-0.
The next game on the Foresters' schedule is Wednesday evening's 5:00 tilt at Edgewood College.
