Lake Forest College men's hockey player Jason McAloon was named Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Co-Player of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Foresters to a pair of wins against Concordia University Wisconsin over the weekend.
McAloon, a sophomore forward, recorded his first career four-point game in a 7-4 triumph over the visiting Falcons on Friday. After the Foresters fell behind 2-0, McAloon assisted on one goal and scored another to tie the game. Concordia Wisconsin led 3-2 after one period but McAloon knotted the score again on a power play goal just 45 seconds into the second. He also assisted on what turned out to be the official game-winning goal later in the second period.
Lake Forest also won 5-1 at Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday to leapfrog the Falcons into third place in the MCHA's South Division standings.
McAloon leads the 2012-13 Foresters with 17 points and ranks tied-for-first with a dozen assists and second with five goals.
MCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director.
