The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association released the 2014-15 All-NCHA Women's Hockey Team on Friday and Lake Forest College's Michelle Greeneway, Morgan Pope, Alex Stensland, and Kayla Griffith made the list. Griffith was also named to the NCHA All-Freshman Team.
Greeneway, a junior forward, leads the Foresters and ranks fifth in the conference with 16 goals. She is also tied for eighth in the NCHA with a team-high 26 points. Greeneway is one of three players in the league to earn All-NCHA honors for the third straight season.
Pope, a senior forward, made the all-conference team for the second year in a row. She ranks 10th in the league with 24 points overall and fifth with 23 points in 18 NCHA games. Her 15 assists in conference play tied for the second-highest total in the league.
Stensland is also a two-time All-NCHA honoree. She is currently tied for sixth among league defensemen with a dozen points on the season and leads the Foresters with a +21 plus/minus rating.
Griffith, a defenseman, was one of just two freshmen on the All-NCHA Team and also appeared on the league's six-member All-Freshman Team. She matched Stensland with 12 points on the year and was second on the team with a +16 plus/minus rating.
Lake Forest is 12-8-3 overall and enters this weekend's NCHA Slaats Cup Tournament at Adrian College as the #2 seed after posting a 11-5-2 record in conference play.
