    The Forester women's hockey team had its season officially come to an end Monday morning (March 8) as the NCAA announced the seven-team field for this year's Division III National Championship Tournament. Lake Forest did not receive one of the tourney's two at-large bids, which instead went to Plattsburgh State University of New York and Trinity College in Connecticut.
  • Foresters Suffer Heartbreaking 1-0 Loss to Superior in O'Brien Cup Semifinals

    The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 1-0 by visiting UW-Superior Friday (March 5) in the semifinals of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association O'Brien Cup Tournament. The Foresters, who entered the week ranked seventh in the nation by U.S. College Hockey Online and first in the West in the NCAA's regional ranking, fell to 19-3-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets advance to tomorrow's tournament championship game with a mark of 18-8-2.
  • Lake Forest Wins 7-0 to Complete Quarterfinal Sweep of Finlandia

    The Forester women's hockey team blanked visiting Finlandia University 7-0 on Sunday (February 28) to finish off its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association O'Brien Cup quarterfinal series sweep of the Lions. Lake Forest, the seventh-ranked team in the nation, is now 19-2-4 on the season while Finlandia fell to 5-21-1. The Foresters also earned the right to host next weekend's (March 5-6) O'Brien Cup semifinals and final.

    The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association released its All-NCHA Teams on Friday (February 26). Lake Forest placed three on the first team and three others were honorable mention selections. In addition, sophomore Kim Herring (Dover, N.H./Groton School) was named NCHA Player of the Year and Carisa Zaban was the league's Coach of the Year.

The Falcons fell to 9-13-3 overall and 5-9-2 in the NCHA.

The Foresters are now 16-2-4 overall on the season and 10-1-4 in NCHA play. The Falcons fell to 9-12-3 overall and 5-8-2 in the league.
