Senior Lucia Stumbras came out on top of a third set tiebreaker but the Forester women's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by the College of St. Scholastica in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday.
Stumbras took the first set of her match at #3 singles 6-4 before dropping the second 6-2. She edged out her opponent 10-6 in the third set tiebreaker for her team's only singles victory of the contest.
The Foresters' other point came at #2 doubles, where sophomore Allison Watts and freshman Sara Grosse came out on top of a 8-6 decision.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's record on the year to 8-6 while St. Scholastica improved to 8-1.
The Foresters will continue play in Orlando, Florida, with a pair of matches on Monday. The team will face off against SUNY Geneseo at 9:30 in the morning before facing Goucher College at 7:00 p.m.
