The Lake Forest College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Dickinson College Tuesday evening during the Foresters' Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
After the Red Devils swept the doubles competition, the Foresters began a comeback bid with junior Margaret Bugnacki's 6-3, 6-4 triumph at #1 singles. The next match to finish was at #4, where Lake Forest freshman Rebecca Daskal came out on top 6-3, 6-1.
The Foresters would get no closer, however, and Dickinson prevailed in a third set super tiebreaker at #2 and posted straight set victories at the other three spots in the singles lineup.
Lake Forest fell to 10-7 on the season while Dickinson improved to 4-1.
After a day off, the Foresters will face Stockton University Thursday evening at 5:00 (EDT).
