Freshman Sara Grosse was one of three players to win 6-0, 6-0 in singles as the Lake Forest College women's tennis team downed visiting Beloit College 9-0 on Monday.
The Foresters won both of the doubles matches 8-0 with freshman Leeza Bodnar and senior Lucia Stumbras teaming up at #1 and sophomore Allison Watts and freshman Silvia Kulbokas playing at #2. Beloit brought just four players to the match and forfeited at #3.
Watts, Stumbras, and freshman Sara Grosse did not lose a game at #2, #3, and #4 singles, respectively, while Bodnar rolled 6-2, 6-0 at #1.
Lake Forest is now 3-2 overall this season and 1-2 in Midwest Conference play. It was the first contest of the year for Beloit.
The Foresters will travel to Wisconsin for three league matches this weekend. On Saturday the team will play at Ripon College at 9:00 in the morning and at St. Norbert College at 3:00 in the afternoon. The weekend will conclude with a match at Lawrence University Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
