The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 3-1 at home by St. Norbert College on Saturday, snapping a streak of 13 consecutive victories on Farwell Field. Forester freshman Cara Durgin scored her first career goal in the contest.
Durgin's goal was assisted by fellow freshman Kyle Chavarria with 3:49 to play in the contest.
St. Norbert scored its first goal exactly 22 minutes into the contest and the second at 34:30. The Green Knights outshot the Foresters 8-1 in the first 45 minutes and led 2-0 at halftime.
The visitors struck again just 49 seconds into the second half and had a 10-4 advantage in shots in the period.
Lake Forest fell to 7-3-0 overall on the season and 2-1-0 in Midwest Conference play. St. Norbert is 7-2-2 overall and 3-1-0 in the league.
The Foresters will continue MWC play at Ripon College next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
