The Forester men's hockey team was defeated 1-0 at home by St.
Olaf College Saturday afternoon (November 28). Lake Forest fell to
2-6-0 on the season while the Oles raised their record to
5-2-3.
St. Olaf put 15 shots on goal and the Foresters 14 in the first two
periods combined but neither team was able to score.
The Oles were out-shot 10-8 in the third period but netted the only
goal of the contest at the 9:10 mark. Lake Forest pulled freshman
goaltender Brendan Sullivan (Fall River, Mass./Aurora Tigers), who
saved 22 of 23 shots on goal, with 1:32 to play but was unable to
tie the score.
The Foresters will resume Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association
play against Milwaukee School of Engineering next weekend (December
4-5). The teams will face off in Lake Forest Friday night at 7:30
and in Milwaukee Saturday at 7:05 p.m. They will be the Foresters'
last two games of the fall semester.
