The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2016 Academic All-District® Teams for women's soccer on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Lindsay Hartup made the list. She will now appear on the Academic All-American® ballot.
Hartup, a senior midfielder, ranks tied-for-second on the team with six goals and third with a dozen points this season. She has helped lead the Foresters to a 9-7-1 overall record and 5-2-1 mark in Midwest Conference play so far this season and the team is 5-1-0 when she scores.
Hartup has 24 points in her career on 10 goals and four assists. Lake Forest is 57-16-4 overall and 31-4-3 in the league with a pair of conference titles during her four seasons on the team.
Successful in the classroom as well, Hartup carries a 3.99 cumulative grade point average. The biology major and chemistry and politics minor is a three-time Academic All-MWC honoree and has been named to several Forester Academic Teams.
Lake Forest and all other NCAA Division III teams in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio are part of District 7. Academic All-District® selections are eligible for election to the Academic All-America® Teams, which will be announced on November 18.
