The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 in overtime at Elmhurst College Wednesday night.
The goal was scored off a corner kick four-and-a-half minutes into the overtime period.
It was the 10th shot overall and the sixth on goal for the Bluejays, who improved to 7-0-0 on the season.
Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta had five saves in the contest. The visitors had seven shot attempts, including two saved by the Elmhurst goalie.
It was the third consecutive overtime game and fourth of the year for the Foresters. Not one of the four ended in a tie, however, with Lake Forest winning the first two and falling in their last two games.
The Foresters are now 3-4-0 on the season and will host Cornell College Saturday afternoon at 3:30. The game will be played on the grass field behind Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
