Junior Kayla Wuest's header tied the game late but the Forester women's soccer team fell 2-1 to visiting St. Norbert College in overtime on Sunday.
Sophomore Jo Hendriksen's corner kick was well-placed and Wuest headed the ball into the goal at the 84:56 mark for her third score of the season. It was Hendriksen's first assist of the year.
After a scoreless first half, St. Norbert had taken the lead at 55:47.
Lake Forest doubled the Green Knights' shot 6-3 in the first half and 8-4 in the second. St. Norbert recorded the only three shots of overtime and scored the game-winner with 2:09 to play in the 10-minute period.
The loss evened the Foresters' overall record at 3-3-0 and the team is now 2-1-0 in overtime contests. St. Norbert improved to 4-1-0 after taking the Midwest Conference opener for both teams.
Lake Forest will play a non-conference game at Elmhurst College Wednesday night at 7:00.
