Junior Allie Girard returned to the lineup and led the Forester women's golf team to a 387-414 victory over Eckerd College at the St. Petersburg Country Club in Florida on Saturday.
After missing the fall due to injury, Girard led the field with an 85 in her 2015-16 debut. She was five shots better then the top player from Eckerd.
Lake Forest senior Alex Dunn tied for fourth place overall with a 98 while freshmen Anhayte Guajardo and Kalay Kotasek needed 102 shots apiece to complete the course.
The Foresters are traveling south during Spring Break for the first time. Their first competition after returning to Lake Forest will be the Edgewood College Triangular on Sunday, April 17.
