The Lake Forest College women's golf team was in action for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, finishing 10th out of 24 teams at the 36-hole Midwest Region Classic at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin.
Freshman Gabrielle Krebs led the Foresters and placed eighth out of 117 players overall with a two-day score of 164. Her 77 in round two tied for the second-lowest score in Monday's field and included a birdie and 11 pars. It also matched her top score of the season and the seventh-best mark in team history.
Fellow freshman Ashlyn Bahtia was next on the team and tied-for-40th in the tournament at 177 while freshman Sydney Foulon and sophomore Emma Ackland were two shots behind her and tied-for-48th.
Aurora University was the team champion with a 36-hole total of 634, six strokes clear of runner-up Augustana College. Lake Forest's 699 is the sixth-lowest two-day score in program history.
The Foresters will not compete again until the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships October 8-10 at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois.
