Sophomore Frankie Corrado was one of two Foresters tied for ninth in the individual standings as the Lake Forest College women's golf team placed third out of six schools at the Elmhurst College Bluejay Invitational on Wednesday.
Corrado carded six pars during her round of 93 and her final score was matched by freshman Anhayte Guajardo. They were nine strokes off the lead in the 38-player field.
Sophomore Maddie Johnson and freshman Kalay Kotasek were next on the team at 97 and senior Alex Dunn finished with a 101.
Lake Forest's team score of 384 was 28 shots behind first-place Aurora University and 15 more than runner-up Benedictine University. Concordia University Wisconsin was fourth at 395, Elmhurst fifth at 420, and North Park University sixth with a score of 430.
The Foresters will be in action again on Friday at the Wisconsin Lutheran Triangular, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Bristol Oaks Country Club in Bristol, Wisconsin.
