Forester junior forward Jimmy Cusan converted a power play opportunity but the Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 5-1 at Adrian College Friday night.
Cusan's unassisted goal was his fourth score of the season and came at the 10:47 mark of the second period.
Adrian led 3-0 after the first period and added a pair of power play goals before Cusan's score in the second.
Lake Forest freshman goaltender entered the game after the Bulldogs' fifth goal and heled the home team scoreless the rest of the way. He stopped all 21 shots on goal he faced in his collegiate debut.
The Foresters fell to 6-8 overall and 4-7 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. Adrian, the second-ranked team in the nation, is now 13-1-1 overall and 9-1-1 in the league.
