Forester sophomore forward Davis DeKorte scored less than two minutes into the game but the Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 4-1 at Milwaukee School of Engineering, the 15th-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday.
It was the first goal of the season for DeKorte and his first career unassisted score.
The early lead was short-lived as the home team tied the score on a power play goal at 8:53 and took the lead less than four minutes later.
The Raiders added an insurance goal in each of the next two periods.
Lake Forest was out-shot in each period and by a 46-24 margin in the contest.
Forester senior goaltender Leo Podolsky made a season-high 42 saves on the evening, including 17 in the second period.
The Foresters, who blanked the Raiders 4-0 on Friday, are now 6-7-0 overall this season and 4-6-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. M.S.O.E. improved to 9-4-0 overall and 4-4-0 in the league.
Lake Forest will travel to Adrian College next weekend and take on the Bulldogs at 7:05 (EST) Friday night and 3:05 (EST) Saturday afternoon.
