The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its 2021 Academic All-America® football teams on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Anthony DerManulian was a Second Team selection.
DerManulian, a senior offensive lineman, is a double major in finance and data science with a 3.87 grade point average. He earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors in 2018 and 2019 (there was no award in 2020) and was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society last year.
On the field, the three-year starter at tackle earned First Team All-Midwest Conference honors and was named MWC Offensive Line MVP in 2021. The Foresters ranked 17th in the nation with a program record 41.5 points per game and also averaged 180 yards rushing and 192.1 passing per contest.
DerManulian helped lead Lake Forest to a 10-1 overall record and 9-0 mark in MWC play this fall. The Foresters captured a conference title and made just the second NCAA Division III Playoff appearance in program history.
