Goldammer and Jackson Earn MWC Performer of the Week Honors

Forester football players Patrick Goldammer and A.J. Jackson were named Midwest Conference Special Teams and Offensive Performers of the Week, respectively, on Monday for their performance in Saturday's victory over visiting Grinnell College.

Goldammer tied the team record with 10 extra points in as many attempts. The senior, who transferred to Lake Forest from Grinnell in 2020, became just the second Forester and sixth kicker in league history to reach double figures in extra points in a game. He also connected on a 27-yard field goal in the second quarter and finished the contest with 13 points, one shy of the team record for a kicker set by David Fee in 1997. With three conference games remaining in 2021, his 39 extra points are just six fewer than the program's single-season record set by Charles Courtney in 2016.

Jackson caught a dozen passes, including a conference record six for touchdowns, and set a school record with 275 receiving yards, the fifth-highest total in league history. The junior wide receiver reached the end zone from 16, 47, and 57 yards out in the game's first eight minutes and scored on plays of 45, 7, and 5 yards in the second quarter. His 12 touchdown catches this season and 23 in his career both rank tied-for-second in program history while his 33 combined trips to the end zone as a receiver, rusher, and returner in just 19 career games are tied for the third-highest total in team annals.

Lake Forest is now 7-0 overall and 6-0 in league play this season. The team will travel to Monmouth College this Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against the only other team in the MWC without a conference loss.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Jackson has also earned the weekly award for special teams three times in his career.
