Junior defenseman Amanda Boisjolie scored her first career game-winning goal and the Foresters prevailed 3-0 at Northland College on Friday.

Boisjolie's fourth score of the season came on the power play with just 2.0 seconds remaining in the second period. Junior forward Maddie Davis and senior forward Amy Budde assisted on the goal.

Lake Forest outshot the LumberJills 17-5 in the opening period and 8-3 in the second but was ahead by just one going into the final 20 minutes of play.

Budde was Forester head coach Jennifer Wilson's choice when the visitors were awarded a penalty shot at the 3:43 mark of the third. Budde was successful, increasing her Northern Collegiate Hockey Association-leading total this season to 14 and giving Lake Forest a 2-0 lead.

Northland pulled its goaltender with 2:01 remaining in the contest and Forester junior forward Sydney Simone found the empty net just 12 seconds later. Her seventh score of the year was set up by sophomore defenseman Jordan Trapp and Budde, who had at least three points in a game for the 17th time in her career.

Lake Forest finished with a 35-14 advantage in shots on goal in the contest.

Junior goaltender Jacque Rogers earned her third shutout of the season and 16th of her career. She has stopped 96.5 percent of shot on goal in the last nine games and is now seventh in the nation with a .947 save percentage on the year.

The victory improved the Foresters' overall record on the season to 11-4-5 and NCHA mark to 8-1-4. Northland fell to 6-13-1 overall and 5-7-1 in the league. The sam two teams will face off again Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
