Junior forward Sydney Simone scored for the second time this season and the Lake Forest College women's hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie at Colby College on Sunday,
Simone gave the visitors the lead at the 9:44 mark of the second period. She was assisted by sophomore forward Annie Dalton and defenseman Jordan Trapp.
Colby scored its only goal of the contest with 1:26 to play in the second.
Forester junior goaltender Jacque Rogers made 28 saves in the game and raised her save percentage on the season to .927.
Both teams put 10 shots on goal in the opening period and Lake Forest had a 9-7 advantage in that category in the second and a 13-11 edge in the third before accounting for five of the overtime period's six shots.
The Foresters are now 6-3-0 and the Mules 3-2-3.
Lake Forest will make the short trip to Bowdoin College for a 3:00 p.m. (ET) game on Monday.
