    Significant changes to the membership and leadership of both the Men's and Women's Northern Collegiate Athletic Association have become official after a meeting of the league athletic directors. Among them is the renaming of the women's tournament championship trophy to honor Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats.

Michelle Greeneway earned All-NCHA accolades while Melissa Paluch, Sarah Gilbride, and Stacey Dierking were Honorable Mention All-MCHA selections. Carisa Zaban was named the league's Coach of the Year.

    The Lake Forest College women's hockey team finished the regular season with a 15-5-4 record and placed third in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a league mark of 12-4-4. The Foresters will host College of St. Scholastica (12-9-4, 9-8-3 NCHA) in the O'Brien Cup Quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday.

The Falcons, ranked fifth in the nation, claimed the outright title and the Foresters finished third in the standings.

The annual event will take place from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged in order to support GLASA.
