Men's and Women's Hockey Leagues Merge, Women to Play for Slaats CupApril 22, 2013Significant changes to the membership and leadership of both the Men's and Women's Northern Collegiate Athletic Association have become official after a meeting of the league athletic directors. Among them is the renaming of the women's tournament championship trophy to honor Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats.

Greeneway Named All-NCHA, Zaban Coach of the YearFebruary 21, 2013The Women's All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Teams were released on Thursday and Lake Forest College was well-represented. Michelle Greeneway earned All-NCHA accolades while Melissa Paluch, Sarah Gilbride, and Stacey Dierking were Honorable Mention All-MCHA selections. Carisa Zaban was named the league's Coach of the Year.

Foresters to Host St. Scholastica in NCHA Quarterfinals this WeekendFebruary 18, 2013The Lake Forest College women's hockey team finished the regular season with a 15-5-4 record and placed third in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a league mark of 12-4-4. The Foresters will host College of St. Scholastica (12-9-4, 9-8-3 NCHA) in the O'Brien Cup Quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday.

Foresters' NCHA Title Hopes Dashed at River FallsFebruary 17, 2013The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 5-0 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Sunday as the race for the 2012-13 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association championship came down to the final day of the regular season. The Falcons, ranked fifth in the nation, claimed the outright title and the Foresters finished third in the standings.

The Sleds are Coming Again!February 04, 2013The Lake Forest College Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) is excited to host the third annual "The Sleds Are Coming Again!" event on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on the campus of Lake Forest College. The annual event will take place from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged in order to support GLASA.
