The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 7-0 by visiting St. Norbert College, the second-ranked team in the country, Friday night.
The Green Knights scored four times in the opening period, the first two on shorthanded goals and the last on the power play. The visitors converted on another power play opportunity in the second period and added a pair of 5-on-5 goals in the third.
Lake Forest was out-shot 40-25 on the night.
Forester sophomore goaltender George Argiropoulos entered the game after the fourth goal and made a career-high 28 saves in the game's final 42:20.
The loss drops Lake Forest's overall and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association records to 2-1-0 while St. Norbert remains undefeated and has also played three games, all against league opponents.
The same two teams will face off again at St. Norbert Saturday night at 7:00.
