Lake Forest College men's golfer Jack Dwyer was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Wednesday for his performance at Knox College's Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invitational last weekend.
Dwyer was the Foresters' top player in both rounds, posting rounds of 79 and 75 on the 6,551-yard par-72 course at Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois. He posted four birdies on the weekend and played at even-par during an 11-hole stretch on Friday. Dwyer tied for 17th place in the 116-player field with a two-day score of 154.
The junior is now averaging 78.36 strokes per round in 2021-22 and 77.88 for his career.
SLIAC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Dwyer also earned the honor once as a freshman in September of 2019.
