The Golf Coaches Association of America announced its 2021 Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division III All-American Scholars on Friday and Lake Forest College's Jack Dwyer was one of just 147 players to make the list.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division III All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically. They must also participate in at least 40 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 79.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of at least 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Dwyer, a sophomore and finance major, posted a team-best 76.91 scoring average this spring. He earned All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors with a runner-up finish at the conference tournament and was also a SLIAC All-Academic honoree. He served as the Foresters' 2021 captain and was voted the team's Most Valuable Player after the season.
Dwyer is the second player in team history to be named an All-America Scholar, joining 2018 honoree Davis DeKorte.
