Lake Forest College men's golf placed second at the three-team Carroll Classic on Sunday.
The Foresters were led by sophomore Jack Dwyer, who tied for third place overall with a 2-over 74 on the 6,809-yard course at Dretzka Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His round included three birdies and he played both the front and back nines in 37.
Fellow sophomore James Johnson was next on the team and tied-for-sixth in the 21-player field with a 76. He also carded three birdies and both halves of his round took 38 strokes.
An eagle on the 389-yard par-4 14th hole highlighted the day for freshman Ryan Higgins, who tied for 10th with an 81.
Dretzka is the home course for Lake Forest freshman Marty Swab, who fired an 83 to finish fourth on the team and 12th overall. Freshman Tyler Nielsen was two shots behind Swab and 15th at the tournament with an 85.
Carthage College won the event with a score of 300 while Lake Forest edged out Carroll by two strokes for second with a 314.
The Foresters will play their sixth tournament in 11 days when they tee it up for Tuesday's Elmhurst Spring Invite.
