The Lake Forest College women's golf team posted a 49-stroke victory over visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College at Foss Park Golf Course in North Chicago. Forester freshman Frankie Corrado shot a season-best 89 on the par-72, 5,988-yard course.
Corrado's round featured a pair of birdies, one on the par-4 eighth and another on the par-4 16th. She also parred four holes, including the last two, to finish five strokes better than her previous season-best.
The top round of the day belonged to sophomore Allie Girard, whose 78 was also a season-best. She had six pars and a score of 40 on the front nine before starting the back nine with a birdie on the par-4, 395-yard 10th hole. She added five more pars and carded a 38 on the way in. Girard finished one stroke ahead of the Warriors' top player.
Freshman Aly Skoczek was just two strokes off her season-best with a score of 100. She had a birdie on the par-3, 155-yard sixth hole. Senior Brooke Perkins finished with a score of 107, one shot better than her previous season-best, and junior Michelle Ricolcol had two birdies en route to a 111.
The Foresters' next competition will be next Monday's Aurora Invitational. Play will begin at 10:00 a.m.
