The Lake Forest College women's golf team defeated host Alverno College 399-523 at Whitnall Park Golf Course in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, on Saturday. All four Foresters playing in the event finished ahead of Alverno's top player, led by sophomore Allie Girard at +9.
Girard carded an 80 on the par-71 course. She birdied the par-3, 180-yard sixth hole as well as the par-4, 362-yard 17th. Girard also recorded six pars and just one double-bogie in the round.
Behind back-to-back birdies on the par-5 12th and par-4 13th holes, junior Alex Dunn placed second with a score of 99. After a rough start, she posted a 43 on the back nine.
Freshman Frankie Corrado had a 104 in her first collegiate event and senior Brooke Perkins finished with a score of 116.
Lake Forest will play at the Benedictine University Fall Invite next Sunday. The tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m.
